The Board Four made their live public debut at the Queen Anne Farmer's Market last Thursday, August 12. They are Chris Saether (tenor), Rod Heivilin (bass), Gary Ackerman (lead), and Jim Durand (baritone). Drew Robinson ably pinch hit for Jim this time, and is pictured above. Chris sings lead with the chorus and is learning new parts, so their repertoire is somewhat limited for now. More to come, however!

On a (recently rare) sunny day (1/23) 11 SeaChordsmen gathered in their cars to have the first experience singing together as a VLQ since almost a year ago! This was possible due to the recent acquisition of a used 16 channel mixer and some microphones. The chorus and other members had previously acquired a low power FM transmitter and portable AC power supply. On this day we used 10 wired microphones and 1 of four wireless microphones. Nine cars were arranged in parking spaces and everyone listened to the complete mix either over their car FM radio, or a portable radio with headphones...

The program was hosted by the Alexandria Harmonizers and Northwest Sound, and included some fantastic quartets and ensembles. Check out Impact's rendition of The Holly and the Ivy.
SeaChordsmen quartet 4 Guys in a Bar has been doing socially distanced rehearsals at Sunset School Park in Shoreline over the course of the pandemic. Sometimes neighbors stop by and listen for a while, ask questions, and even applaud! We've told quite a few Shoreline residents about our upcoming virtual holiday show, and hopefully some will join us. One neighbor of the park wrote a nice article in the Shoreline Area News about how we've been fililng the park with music:
moreThe SeaChordsmen made their annual trip to the Horizon House retirement community on Wednesday, September 12, 2018. All these wonderful were people were in our "Range of Vision" as we entertained them with songs from our Summer show "Follow Your Dream" last June.
