2025

I have cherished singing since I was 10 when I received my first guitar…I loved to sing along to the radio in the car and singing in the shower. I dreamed of becoming a diva like Madonna, and Whitney Houston.
Growing up listening to 1980s music was like being part of a vibrant, colorful world filled with energy and creativity. The decade was an explosion of diverse genres—from synth-pop and rock to hip-hop and new wave—each contributing to a unique cultural landscape that shaped my life.

One of my proudest moments was performing the Star Spangled Banner at an Air Force military awards banquet. Over the years, I’ve nurtured my love for music through various avenues—joining several garage bands, performing in trios bands, and sharing the joy of singing at house parties, birthday gatherings, and retirement facilities.
In 2019, I discovered the joy of barbershop harmony with Sweet Adelines International, Sound Harmony Chorus.
After six months, I seized the opportunity to form a women’s pickup quartet for a regional educational event. My journey didn’t stop there; I later auditioned for a performance chorus with Song of Seattle and became a member in October 2019.
Shortly after, I joined NW Sound, a mixed barbershop chorus right before the pandemic began. At one point, I was proudly part of five choruses and two quartets within the Sweet Adelines and Barbershop Harmony Society.

I have attended Harmony University every year for six years, which has only deepened my love and knowledge of this art form. When I’m not singing (which is rare!), I work as a nurse—my other true passion. You might catch me humming a barbershop tune while caring for my patients, as I believe music can be a vital part of their healing process.

As Vice President of Membership, I am committed to supporting our singers and encouraging them to embrace their journey. I adore spreading joy, love, and harmony within our chorus and beyond. I truly feel honored to contribute to our community, and I am excited about what this year holds for us!
