Mixed Emotions is a relatively new quartet, and they made their competition debut at the 2023 Evergreen District Convention. They did an amazing job -- see for yourself:
What do we do at afterglow? What DON'T we do at afterglow? This week, we debuted the tag of a song that our lead section leader, Andy, is arranging for his quartet, Top of the Hill. Here's a quartet of afterglowing SeaChordsmen, singing the last handful of measures of In Your Wildest Dreams. Andy's becoming a prolific arranger, and we love to see his talents put to good use!

moreCheers to Top of the Hill, who had two gigs earlier this month. They serenaded a happy crowd at a 75th birthday party, and they had a return engage to entertain folks at the Mount Si Senior Center. Thanks for representing the SeaChordsmen and Seattle barbershop!
Thanks to Top of the Hill for previewing their contest song at afterglow on Friday! You all sound great!
A quartet of chorus members were asked to perform a traditional Irish and Scottish song at a celebration of life for a resident of Seattle. We didn't have that song in our repertoire, so Andy created an arrangement, and a quartet of singers learned and rehearsed it over a week to perform at the event. We were followed by bagpipes playing the same song, and then the crowd toasted the departed with his favorite scotch. It was a sweet, heartwarming event, and we were honored to participate.
Cheers to Andy on creating a beautiful moment for the crowd. And we now have Andy's arrangement...
moreCheers to Top of the Hill for their performance this week at Ballard Landmark. They were a hit, as always!
Cheers to Under the Radar for joining the VLQ for National Night Out and bringing special quartet serenades to the parties we visited!
Thanks, Under the Radar!
Four Ever Young were honored to sing at long time SeaChordsmen John Kropf's memorial service. He was an active member of the chorus from 1972 until 2011. Our bass, Rod, knew him well, as did Gary, who unfortunately was out of town. Dave Rice filled in an tenor and Chris switched to lead for the occasion. Rest in Peace and Harmony, John.
