Members of the SeaChordsmen and the Sound Harmony Chorus travelled to Kirkland to perform in the church service of SeaChordsmen member Bill. We were happy to support their service, and provide entertainment between services, too. One quartet, Metafour, took a few minutes to perform a holiday song for the crowd.

Thanks for having us, Holy Trinity Lutheran Church!

We had a ton of fun today performing at the Queen Anne Farmers Market, Harvest Market edition! The weather was beautiful, and we had a rotating audience for two hours, when we performed as a small chorus, as various quartets, and we even performed with Mark, the guitar player who was on stage before us. It was a lovely day of music!

Thanks to the folks in charge for bringing us in to sing!

Well, we've been working hard to make sure that our upcoming concert, Harmony for the Holidays, is full of the spirit of the season! This week, we worked on bringing the joy not just to our voices, but to our faces, as we spread the holiday cheer.

Here's a quarter of our chorus doing an exercise to see how well their faces align with their idea of their expression:

We love welcoming guests to SeaChordsmen rehearsals, which you already know if you know the SeaChordsmen! Last week, we welcomed guest Bonnie, who was very excited to be there -- we love that! We hope she'll keep joining us between now and December 9, so that she can sing with us for our holiday concert.

Thanks for joining us, Bonnie. We hope to see you next week!

We've been rehearsing at the Queen Anne Baptist Church for many years, and happy to be part of the community there. A handful of other organizations also call the QABC home, including the Co-op Funeral Home of People's Memorial, The Queen Anne Cooperative Preschool, and the Children's Dance Workshop! We all came together for some fun last weekend, to raise money for the church, which needs to replace its boiler this year. It was a fun afternoon, Cheers on a successful Block Party!

We had an incredible time getting coached by Joe Cerutti as a chorus over the Labor Day weekend (see some photos HERE), but that wasn't all. We also spent the evening picking Joe's brain about chorus management and funding, and did some great big-picture thinking about the future of barbershop and the future of membership organizations. We had a great evening, and ended up with so much food for thought!
