SeaChordsmen performances
There are many ways you can bask in the overtones generated from our harmonizing!
Public performances
There are a handful of ways we typically perform for the general public.
Summer and Christmas shows
Our big recurring shows are our Summer Show and our Christmas Show. You can see complete performances of some of our shows on our YouTube channel. Our next big summer show will be in 2026. Our 2024 Christmas show was a huge success -- check back for video of the show once it's available. Until then, you can watch our 2023 holiday show, Harmony for the Holidays.
SeaChordsmen sometimes show up to sing in unexpected places. During the summer, quartets often perform at the Queen Anne Farmers Market on Thursday afternoons. Keep your eye out for us, and watch our website for upcoming events!
By Invitation
We offer a Traveling Road-Show during non-summer-show years. It's been incredibly popular with folks at many retirement communities (Mirabella, Aljoya Thornton Place, Ida Culver Broadview, etc.) Our Road Show lasts about one hour, and features a variety of standards, current songs, and other barbershop favorites to tell a story through music! Our fee is sliding, but the default is $300 for our hour-long show.
And of course, we love offering Singing Valentines each year. Buy one next year!

Evergreen District Convention
Okay, this one isn't really all about us. We are part of a large District that includes dozens of barbershop chapters within the Evergreen District boundaries which includes Alaska, British Columbia, Alberta, Washington, Oregon, and parts of Idaho and western Montana. The 2024 competition took place in Portland; choruses competed on Saturday morning, and top quartets competed on Saturday evening. Check out our 2024 competition set! This is an annual event, and an amazing way to catch some incredible barbershop singing! Watch for details about 2025 when dates and plans are nailed down in the summer.
Past performances
We love singing in the community! Here are some examples of where we've been singing:
- Our Seattle Sings performance from 2022.
- We've participated in Figgy Pudding since it started! Check out our feature in the Seattle Times, and this video of Angels We Have Heard on High. During the COVID pandemic, we were invited to perform in their virtual Figgy Pudding, which was an honor. We sang Hi Diddley Dum.
- The Syttende Mai parade in Ballard.
- Folklife is an annual tradition for the SeaChordsmen -- we teach tags and perform a couple of songs, too.
- We meander around the neighborhood for National Neighborhood Night Out each year.
- We're proud of the virtual Christmas show we put together in 2020. We think it holds up well: 2020 Virtual Christmas Show.
