We had a great time this weekend, polishing not only our quartet skills, but also spending some practice time on our two contest songs for this year.

Thanks to Dave for hosting, and thanks for all the great singing!

We were charmed by (and we hope we charmed) Andrea, who joined us for a chunk of afterglow this week. We got her to sing a tag with us, numerous times, even, and she says she's going to join us at an upcoming rehearsal! We also serenaded her...

Bonus: we now have Topher's infamous wrapping up of You've Got a Friend in Me on video for posterity.

We really do have this much fun pretty much all the time. Join us!

We've been so lucky the last two weeks to have our Singing Valentine quartet members get some coaching in with Ted! We got six full hour of coaching under glass with Ted, so any chorus members who wanted to watch could come and learn along with the singers. Our Singing Valentines will be all the better for his insight!

Thank you, Ted!

And if you're interested in getting together with a fantastic vocal coach, check out Ted's website: https://www.tedsvoiceacademy.com/

The chorus got together on Sunday to celebrate 2023, and to welcome and swear in the 2024 Board of Directors. We always have a great time at this event, enjoying the change of scenery and celebrating one another.

Rod, our emcee, honored our incoming board, many of whom are new to either the board or to their specific position on the board. Here are some of the board members as Rod announced them:

What's a chorus to do on their regularly-scheduled rehearsal night once their holiday show is over? Well, the SeaChordsmen have traditionally gone caroling around the neighborhood, and this year was no exception! We had a huge group of singers show up, and we spent the evening spreading holiday cheer! Here are a few highlights:

Here we are serenading the folks at Starbucks...

This week the chorus was so happy to officially welcome three new members to the chorus. They've been around for a while, but now that we've "sung them in," things are official! Welcome to Leads Chris and Bonnie, and to bass Phil. We're glad you're part of the SeaChordsmen family!

Members of the SeaChordsmen and the Sound Harmony Chorus travelled to Kirkland to perform in the church service of SeaChordsmen member Bill. We were happy to support their service, and provide entertainment between services, too. One quartet, Metafour, took a few minutes to perform a holiday song for the crowd.

Thanks for having us, Holy Trinity Lutheran Church!

We had a ton of fun today performing at the Queen Anne Farmers Market, Harvest Market edition! The weather was beautiful, and we had a rotating audience for two hours, when we performed as a small chorus, as various quartets, and we even performed with Mark, the guitar player who was on stage before us. It was a lovely day of music!

Thanks to the folks in charge for bringing us in to sing!
